Distance Or Accuracy
think that Dale and the Surge are brothers of the ?Straight is Great? fraternity of golf course management. As far as I am concerned, the only place to play golf consistently and successfully is out… your golf ball is on the fairway. Loose control of your ball and it ends up in the rough, fairway….
Golfers are obsessed with distance. I know they are making courses longer. I also know they still make multiple tees. Most courses have at least 4 or more sets of tees, from ladies, senior, member

Open Question: We want our out of state Pastor to marry us, how can we do this?
My fiance and I have decided we want his family Pastor to marry us. He is important to him, and is going to do a full year (one session a month) of pre-marital counseling, which is important to us.
The problem is, we are getting married out of state. He has agreed to marry us because he travels a lot anyway. However, I know a lot of churches are funny about other people coming in to do things in their church. We’re getting married in a small town. His family lives up there half the year because they own a golf course. His grandma attends a church regularly when she lives up there and his parents bounce back and forth between a few. A family friend is a Pastor in a church about half an hour out of town. It’s possible for us to get married in a church, but we don’t know if our Pastor can do it!
His family suggested that we get married on the golf course. (It’s beautiful, there’s a river and it’d be easy enough to set up.) I like this idea, but I have always had this picture of getting married in a church. Plus I plan on getting a full length train and that would look out of place if we got married on a golf course. (One dress I tried on and fell in love with had a Cathedral train!) We do plan to do the reception there, but would love to get married in a church.
We are making a trip up there either this Spring or Summer (wedding planned for Spring 2011) to see what we can do about a church, but ideas would be appreciated!
Are you guys reading the question? Sorry it was so long… here’s the summary:
He can get there and marry us no problem, but my question is concerning how to get him to marry us in a church or if we have to do the ceremony on the golf course or something? (Churches are funny about letting other Pastors into their church to do ceremonies and such.)
Edit Invisible Pink: I posted that before you added on to your answer. Sorry about that!

Open Question: Where is a great place to get golf club-fitting done by professionals?
I am a junior girl in high school, planning to play in college. I shoot in the upper 70s and my swing speed with my driver is about 85 mph, otherwise with my irons they are more around 75 mph. My old irons were great, but unfortunately the shafts were wearing away because my golf bag (which is also quite worn out) was scraping away at them.
I live in SE michigan, so near golfsmith and carl’s golfland. I don’t know which one is better, or if there are others, but if you have gotten clubs fitted at any of these locations, give me feedback! thanks!
