Open Question: need help editing and making my story better?
Another cold stale night in this lunacy-pervaded place. Were a mans night at Dottville becomes an interrupted slumber of terrorizing and gloomy reminiscences of the frontline and the monstrous anger of rapidly rattling gun fire repeatedly churning away in the men?s demented minds, recollections not even a Doctor could save them from. Men whaled and cried in there sleep while others hastily awoke. For I?m no better then any officer that walks these smoky fag filled halls, as my dreams are filled of rotting flesh corpses and things I was commanded to do on the field. These soldiers may be alive; but slowly there being eaten from the inside by months of battle.
Morning bestowed on the Craiglockhart fields and all the night?s miseries came to a stop. The early morning wakers gathered in the dinning room and sipped on there char and morning bangers and mash. The Mornings were reasonably quiet for a bunch of soldiers who just came from the trenchers. Private Cornwall stood beside me with a morbid look on his face as he glanced upon Allan Lockyer gargling and chocking on a sausage. There were men who sat helplessly as memories of gas sprung to there minds. Nurses came from the right and left halls, lunging at Allan?s aid while others took to men who had passed out, or tripped trying to duck to the ground yelling An ecstasy of fumbling, Fitting the clumsy helmets which weren?t at there side. Oh, how such a little thing could cause such a disturbance. The cold Morning turned to a warm afternoon as the inmates took to daily walks, golf or pool.
