The Man Rules
At last a guy has taken the time to write this all down
Finally , the guys’ side of the story.
( I must admit, they’re pretty good.)
We always hear ” the rules”
From the female side.
Now here are the rules from the male side.

Open Question: running away, please listen and give advise?
i apologize in advance for any mistakes i make while typing this, i have to write this fast…so here it is..where to start….my life has always sucked i guess but what 17year olds life doesn’t sometime? but mine sucks all the time..even my friends know this. they make comments to me about it too but it doesn’t help knowing that every one else agrees my dads a dick. what really makes me mad is the favorite game my dad plays. i have four siblings and they all get treated better than i do but my brother especially. when i turned twelve i got a bb gun, for my brothers birthday he got a $900 dirt bike. i don’t own anything even close to being that expensive. i did have a job but i quit because after three months of working my parents got most of the money i made. we have a golf cart that im not aloud to use(my siblings are), and it broke. my dad made me give him $500 to fix it. if i left a bag of chips open or milk sitting out he would cuss and swear until i gave him twenty bucks for grocery’s. he also would randomly make me give him money because i eat too much(im not fat btw). i started hoarding my money after i quit my job because my parents took the rest of the money in my savings account. for christmas i got an ipod touch and some t shirts. my brother got a laptop. that was fine with me cause it was only about a $300 laptop. but about two weeks later my brother wanted an ipod cause he liked mine allot. so my dad bought him one, no special occasion. i got my first phone for my 8th grade graduation. i had to pay for it so it was a pretty crappy phone but i was happy cause i could now go out with friends. my brother is starting 7th grade next year so my dad bought him a really nice newer phone. this was the same age my sister got her phone too. they don’t pay for them though. you might think im just giving you all the negative crap but trust me, i have no special privileges over my siblings. they even get seniority over me when it comes to first in line to eat. there’s millions of stories like these i could tell you but there’s just not enough time to type them all out, besides im not even supposed to be using this computer anyway. ive thought about running away in the past but i always told myself that it would do me more harm than my parents. now that im older, i have a plan,i know my way around, im big enough to where no one would bother messing with me, and im fast enough to evade nosy cops, i think i can handle a few days without mommy and daddy. this is what happened that has pushed me over the edge. wednesday: after i finish working(working is literately manual labor for me, i was digging trenches and laying railroad ties and bricks and a bunch of other very physical things) from eight in the morning noon, my dad left to go price some gravel. he said i can leave and stay out till ten. so i went in took a shower and my friend picked me up. something i forgot to mention is im 17 and my birthday is in march. im not getting my license till im 18 because my parents were unhappy with my B- average in school.anyway my friend picked me up and we met up with some girls at his house. after hanging out for a while we decide to take a trip to the mall. the mall is about thirty minutes away from where we live. as soon as we get there my dad calls me and tells me to be home in ten minutes. i couldn’t do that and i tried explaining that to him. there was no emergency, he just wanted me to go with to look at a lawnmower at my uncles. even though we had just got there i had to ask my friend to drive me all the way back home, ruining his and the girls day. i get home in under thirty minutes and i try to defend myself but i get grounded anyways. he does this after yelling at my friends including the girls for whatever they did wrong. i liked one of the girls but shes not talking to me anymore. my dad has been trying to make me do work without pay as punishment but punishment for what? i refuse cause i cant let him believe that whenever he wants me to do work for free he can just ground me. he has taken everything away from me, even the things i pay for like my phone and xbox and tv. im not aloud to leave my room from the time he leaves for work (12 pm) till my mom gets home(7pm). there isn’t a date where im ungrounded either. as i type this my sisters are spitting on each other and saying the F word allot cause one is using the others paint (they are 15yr and 12yr) this is also a good time to add that im the most respectful to my parents and i never swear in front of them. my sisters however curse my mom to hell every night and she does nothing about it….my dad has been threatening me with the “ill pack your bags myself!!”Speech. yea well im gunna take him up on his offer. lets see how he does with my lazy ass siblings for a week or two. another reason why i haven’t done this before is cause i want to have a life in the future. i actually plan on joining the marines
i also ment to say this: if i was suicidal i would have torched my house in the middle of the night a long time ago. i have money and friends and places to go, i just want to hear some advise or tips from other people befor i go. and thank you to the people who have allready answered. a few more things i should add are: im not going to be living on the streets. and i do plan on moving out as soon as im 18, i just need something to be done now to show my dad im not messing around and he cant push me around. this is more of a lesson for him then anything. and im no coward. for me its more like walking away, and ill come back. i just want them to stew in this house without me for a while and have them see what its like without me for a while just so they can get a taste of whats to come when i leave for the military. and i know i want to join the military. and i have talked to my pastor about this(im the only one in my family that goes to church) and he believes everything has a pupose.
